About this calculator
Video quotes fall apart in post. Shoot day costs are easy to count; the edit, revisions, music licensing, and delivery formats are where budgets get eaten. This lays every line item out and applies your target margin on top.

FAQ
How many revision rounds should the quote include?
Two, explicitly written into the scope, with an hourly rate for anything beyond. Unlimited revisions is the single most common way a profitable video job turns into a loss.
What margin is normal?
Small production companies target 25–40% on top of hard costs. Below 20% there is no room to absorb a reshoot or a slow-paying client.
Accuracy and limitations
- Results are estimates before tax, fees, and inflation unless an input explicitly covers them.
- Rates are treated as fixed for the whole period — variable-rate products will drift from this projection.
- This is educational maths, not financial advice. Check anything contractual with the lender or your accountant.
