What MAP is adequate?
65 mmHg is the common resuscitation floor for organ perfusion in adults, though individual targets vary widely.
Why is MAP weighted toward diastolic?
The heart spends roughly two-thirds of the cardiac cycle in diastole, so diastolic pressure dominates the time-weighted average.
