Is $800/year a realistic wear estimate for outdoor storage?
It's a mid-range planning figure. A paint job on a typical single averages $8,000-15,000 and lasts roughly twice as long hangared as it does tied down in full sun, so amortized over the paint's life that alone can be $400-700/year, before adding interior UV fading, seal degradation, and more frequent detailing needs.
