FAQ
Why amortize gear?
A $900 kit charged entirely to your first weekend makes camping look absurd. Spread across 30 trips it's $30 a trip, which is the honest number.
What about food?
Food is roughly a wash between the two, so it's excluded. Add it to both sides if your camp cooking is meaningfully cheaper than eating out.
Accuracy and limitations
- Estimates assume standard, average conditions — local rules, pricing, and materials vary.
- Results are rounded for readability; add a buffer before ordering, booking, or committing.
- Double-check anything with a real cost attached against a local quote.
