What's a healthy punch list percentage of contract value?
Well-managed commercial jobs typically close out at 0.25-0.75% of contract value in punch list cost. Above 1.5-2%, that's usually a signal of inadequate quality control walkthroughs during construction rather than normal closeout — meaning issues that should have been caught and fixed at rough-in or trim stage got pushed to the final punch instead.
