About this calculator

Compute a score differential from an adjusted gross score, course rating, and slope, then see the resulting handicap index and your course handicap at any slope.

FAQ

Is one round enough?

No. An official index averages the best 8 of your last 20 differentials. A single round gives you the differential to feed that average.

What is slope 113?

It's the standard baseline for a course of average difficulty, which is why it appears in the formula.

Accuracy and limitations

  • Estimates assume standard, average conditions — local rules, pricing, and materials vary.
  • Results are rounded for readability; add a buffer before ordering, booking, or committing.
  • Double-check anything with a real cost attached against a local quote.
