FAQ
What is a 'normal' lens?
One whose focal length roughly matches the sensor diagonal — about 43 mm on full frame, 28 mm on APS-C, 21 mm on Micro Four Thirds. That is where perspective looks closest to unaided vision.
Does crop factor change perspective?
No. Perspective is set by where you stand. Cropping changes framing only — but since you usually step back to reframe, the resulting images do look different.
