This calculator compares formula cost (based on daily ounces and price per ounce) against the equipment and consumable costs of exclusive pumping over the first year, so you can see the real dollar gap rather than assuming breastfeeding costs zero. It intentionally excludes the value of parental time, which is real but highly variable by household.",
