Run length from the panel to the garage wall is the single biggest cost variable and must be measured, not assumed. Level 2 home charger installs commonly run $800–$2,500 including the unit. Change the crew rate to your real burdened cost — wages plus payroll tax, workers' comp, vehicle, insurance and non-billable time — because using a bare wage rate is the single most common reason a busy ev charger installation business still ends the year with no profit.
